Professional characteristics
The member of the Department of Psychology at Faculty of Education Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica has since 2000. By 2003, he worked at the Department of Psychology as an internal doctoral student. Since 2003, he has been operating in the same Department as an assistant professor. For years, she held as Departmental Coordinator for ECTS. She is currently a member of the School Psychology Association. At the same time, since 2015, the Presidency of the Academic Senate holds the Faculty of Education Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica.
At the Department, she provides teaching in compulsory, compulsory optional and selection subjects in the field of psychology, in the field of psychology teaching, as well as in the socio-science basis for teachers and teachers for primary and pre-primary education. In her pedagogical activity, she is mainly focused on the history of psychology and social psychology, but also applied disciplines as applied social psychology, management of interpersonal conflicts, mediation, coaching basics and also leads socio-psychological training and basics of dance therapy.
Since 2013, she has been a member of a team that the MBU implements the service-learning strategy. In 2015, as a member of the author team, the Rector’s Award was the MBU Rector's Prize for University Textbook Service Learning. Innovative learning strategy. She is also a member of the International Association for Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement (from 2016). The Department implements this strategy in the objects as Service-Learning in Psychology 1 and 2 and An Introduction to Practice by Service Learning 1 and 2.
In the past, she was the cooperator two of successful VEGA projects (in one was a representative of the leading project), a co-researcher of two international projects and is up to date as a member of the research team APVV (see sections Projects). In her scientific activity, she is focused on the verification of the construct of the trait emotional intelligence, the issue of personal and social responsibility, the organizational culture and the issue of a transformational education leader.
She is a co-author of three scientific monographs, five university textbooks and learning texts, more than fourth scientific studies published in foreign and domestic magazines, scientific and conference proceedings and other professional publishing outputs. At these outputs, she records thirty-four citations, of which three registered in citation indexes and twenty abroad. The current chapter has been published within a collective monograph in the foreign reputable publishing house ROUTEDLE FRANCIS & TAYLOR GROUP.
