Málik Peter, MPhil, PhD

Professional characteristics

My research lies in the intersection of phliology, ancient history, and theology. My publications mainly deal with papyrology, early Christian textual material culture, as well as textual criticism and editing. In 2016, I completed a PhD at the University of Cambridge (Peterhouse), focusing on the transmission of the New Testament in general and of the Book of Revelation in particular. Presently, I am part of an international, multidisciplinary project (funded by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft), whose main projected outcome will be a print as well as electronic major critical ledition of the Book of Revelation (Editio Critica Maior). In addition, I am engaged on an edition of the Greek underwriting in Codex Climaci Rescriptus, an important Sinaitic palimpsest.
