Professional characteristics

I have been working at the Faculty of Education of the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, at the Department of Andragogy, since 2018. In my pedagogical activities I focus mainly on cultural andragogy, non-formal education, interesed-based education of adults, citizenship education of adults and local and regional culture. I also deal with the subsystem of social andragogy and the teaching of subjects related to this specialization. I focus my research and publishing activities on the issues of cultural andragogy, especially with a focus on citizenship education of adults, the development of critical thinking and social networks. I have been dealing with the issue of citizenship education of adults since my PhD. studies, where I carried out research with the aim of identifying the basic determinants influencing the process of curriculum development in citizenship education of adults. I am the author of scientific studies published in domestic and foreign journals and monographs, as well as the author of a university textbook. At the same time, I am a member of research teams of domestic and international projects (APVV, Erazmus +, Visegrad Fund).
