Professional profile of D. Hanesová
D. Hanesová completed her doctoral studies in the field of Theory of teaching (specializing on the Theory and didactics of teaching foreign languages) at Comenius University in 2003. In 2005 she obtained the degree of an associate professor in the field of Education (teaching formative subjects) at Matej Bel University, and in 2017 she was appointed a professor of Education Sciences. She has been working at the Faculty of Education of the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica since 1993, initially at the Department of Theology and Catechetics, where she also worked as the head of the department. Since 2019, she has been the guarantor of the master's study program Social Pedagogy and the doctoral program Education sciences (Pedagogika) at the Department of Pedagogy, and she is also the guarantor of habilitations and inaugurations in the field of Education sciences. In r. 2019 and 2020, she began to pay more attention to the issue of service-learning strategy of learning and learning at university.
In her research, pedagogical and publishing activities she deals primarily with the issue of theory and practice of teacher training (in primary and higher education), but also with other pedeutological and methodological issue topics, comparative studies of educational systems and leisure pedagogy in the world, comparative social pedagogy, moral and spiritual development of children and youth, development plurilingual and multicultural competence of students and university teachers. She has addressed these and other topics in 27 research tasks and projects. As an author and co-author, she has published 16 scientific monographs, 7 university textbooks and more than 140 scholar papers and studies published in foreign and domestic scientific journals, scientific and conference proceedings - of which 17 papers are registered in WoS and Scopus, as well as about 150 professional and on practice-oriented papers. There are almost 400 quotations to these outputs, of which 37 are registered in citation databases and another 181 quotations abroad. She has lectured at more than 100 scientific and professional conferences, of which 53 were abroad. She studied or lectured or participated in research in 16 various programs and projects (in Britain, USA, Germany, Holland, Czech Republic). She has been an active member of organizational teams of 17 conferences, professional seminars and events, within which she also had the opportunity to develop her organizational skills, the ability to cooperate with representatives of school practice, and non-governmental organizations.
She participated in the preparation materials for accreditation of several study programs since 1993. She has also been involved in teaching practice in Slovakia as well as abroad (e.g. in 1 Master study program in the Netherlands). Between 2005-2015 she also taught for 10 years at an elementary school, of which 2 years she functioned also as the principal. She has received several awards for her work, e.g. European Quality Label for Language Education Initiatives (2004) for the vocational language training of nursery and primary school teachers in practice; UMB Silver Medal for successful management of international research and mobility projects and for active development of international cooperation between the university and its Faculty of Education (2014); Commemorative plaque for many years of significant contribution to the development of the faculty, pedagogical, scientific research and publishing activities - 2014. Her publications have been used in teaching at other higher education institutions: abroad: Gouda - The Netherlands; Brno, Ostrava, České Budějovice - Czech Republic, in the Slovak Republic: PF PU in Prešov, FPV ŽU in Žilina. In 2021, she has been invited to participate in the preparation of a Global Association of Social Pedagogues.
